Walnut & Miller (Bloomington, IN)

This Starbucks is way off the beaten path. While completely lovely, it's not one frequented by students who don't have cars. I believe there is a bus that takes you here but it's almost too much work to coordinate a bus route to a Starbucks.

That being said, this is one I would definitely recommend. With the slight distance from campus it allows for a far more peaceful ambience than the two "on campus" Starbucks can provide. If you have a car and are in Bloomington, this is one Starbucks you have to go to.

3rd Street & 46 Bypass (Bloomington, IN)

This Starbucks is a great "off-campus" Starbucks for getting some good work done. I tend to go to this Starbucks when I still want to soak in the atmosphere that comes with any Starbucks but don't want to run into EVERYONE I know at Kirkwood.

Being accessible on a bus route means that every one can get there but no one really chooses to go there. Now, that doesn't mean it's packed but it's usually people who go through the drive through or people serious about getting work done!

Indiana Memorial Union-Bloomington (Bloomington, IN)

The first time I went to this Starbucks was for an interview for a Presidential position in the honors section of my dorm. Now, I didn't get the position but I've been back to this Starbucks plenty of times since, to meet people, to study with others and even by myself to kill time between classes.

Plenty of people go to this Starbucks to study. The layout of this Starbucks allows it to have small tables where two people can comfortably study together or for one person to work individually. However, the downside to this Starbucks is that it is almost always packed. There are literally people stalking the tables like vultures, watching to see who gets up and opens up a free table.

Additionally, this isn't a thing I've noticed for myself, but there are friends of mine who have commented that the prices at this Starbucks are higher than that off a corporate store. I haven't had a chance to check yet, but I will soon enough and get back to you!

Indiana University (Bloomington, IN)

This Starbucks is one that's very important to me as it is one that I frequent at least once-twice a week if not every day when I'm in college. This Starbucks has brought me closer to some of my best friends and introduced me to many others.

The first time I ever went to this Starbucks was about 5 1/2 months before I started going to school here. It was an early Saturday morning and my family and I decided to stop by Starbucks and grab some coffee before going to "Direct Admit Day" where I would learn all about the Kelley School of Business. When I walked into Starbucks that morning I had no idea that I would end up going to school there, let alone spending hours of my life at this location. This is the only location that I have gone to that I have either gotten to at opening time and left right as they were closing (different days).

This location is a great one if you're looking for somewhere close to campus to study. Be warned though, that the flow of people in and out of the Starbucks is high on almost any given day, meaning it's highly probable you'll run into someone you know, so don't go here if you're looking for isolation (unless you sit at the tables in the back by the bathrooms.
