Westheimer & Post Oak (Houston, TX)

This is by far one of my favorite Starbucks. This is for sure not the first time I visited this Starbucks but it's the first time I went after I started this project.

So, first, let me explain why this Starbucks is so special to me. We used to always go to this Starbucks when my mother had other shopping to do in the area and it always fascinated me between the size (as a kid) and the amount of people always there. As I grew older I found out that it was open 24 hours which only made me grow to love this Starbucks more. (I want to spend 24 hours straight there one day).

The layout of this Starbucks truly makes it one for everyone. They have the long tables at which individuals can come and work as well as a circle table so that you can work collaboratively on group projects. But the cool thing is they also have little circle bar tables that most people use to just catch up with friends and the regular half-booth seating for individuals to get comfy and work at tables. Not to mention they have outdoor furniture which is perfect for Houston weather for most of the year.

Basically it would be my go-to Starbucks if I had the time.

Hwy 6 & Dulles Austin Pkwy (Missouri City, TX)

This location is great for a study place or hang out as well. Since this one doesn't have a drive-through, this tends to be a less busier Starbucks than the one on Sweetwater. Now, don't get me wrong, it's plenty busy, but more so at the peak hours - like the mornings and in the early afternoon around the time everyone loves a coffee break.

If you're looking for a place that's quiet enough to work though? This is it. As one of the quieter ones in the area, you're able to actually focus in this Starbucks but it is still a nice place to meet up with friends or colleagues although it doesn't seem to be its main purpose.

Sweetwater & Lexington (Sugar Land, TX)

This Starbucks is a wonderful multipurpose Starbucks. For its location, it is located close to Clements High School, which means that it is frequented by many of the students from that high school, especially because it has a drive through.

As I mentioned, this Starbucks is multipurpose -- I have seen groups of friends just hanging out (especially in the summer) while others come to get work done. There are tables set up so that you can get work done, but personally this Starbucks is more suited for meeting up with a group of friends or colleagues and just chatting. There are some comfy couches in the back that are nice for talking, as well as a pair in the front. There's also seating outside -- if it's not too hot for you!

Hwy 6 & US Hwy 59 (Sugar Land, TX)

This Starbucks is definitely one to meet people and hang out with them. It's located right in the center of Sugar Land's Town Center, where many citizens of the city go to relax or shop. Attached to the Marriott, this Starbucks gives off the appearance of being high class, but in reality it's an average Starbucks.

I wouldn't go to this Starbucks if you had some serious work or studying to do, but for meeting up with people and going elsewhere, or even to sit down and talk: this Starbucks is your place. As it is mostly used to hang out, this Starbucks tends to get busier on the weekends and in the summer when kids are not in school.

I 10 & Katy Mills (Katy, TX)

This Starbucks trip was a very memorable one for me. I usually am not so good about sticking to New Years Resolutions but for the year of 2010 I swore off of Starbucks coffee.

I know, I know that seems absolutely ridiculous for someone who claims to love Starbucks as much as I do which is why I had loopholes like "Green Teas" and "Hot Chocolates".

This Starbucks is the one my family and a few family friends stopped at on the way to Austin to ring in the new year at. The first true Starbucks coffee I had been able to have since December of 2009. I even paid for everyone's drinks and racked up 13 extra stars on my Gold Card.
